Nurses Share Heartbreaking Stories of What Happens To Babies Who Survive Abortions

Often when a baby is born alive during an abortion procedure, the child is kept in the abortion clinic until he or she dies. In rare cases, the abortionist himself takes action to kill the baby. But sometimes the baby is transferred to a hospital, where he can be given medical care.

Unfortunately, it is the policy of many hospitals simply to allow these babies to die.

Nurse Kathleen Malloy, from Jacksonville, Florida, witnessed the death of one baby who was born after a saline abortion and transferred to her hospital. Melanie Green of Last Days Ministries quoted Malloy in her pamphlet “Children: Things We Throw Away?” Malloy tells her story:

I worked the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift, and when we weren’t busy, I’d go out to help with the newborns. One night I saw a bassinet outside the nursery. There was a baby in this bassinet – a crying, perfectly formed baby – but there was a difference in this child. She had been scalded. She was the child of a saline abortion.

This little girl looked as if she had been put in a pot of boiling water. No doctor, no nurse, no parent, to comfort this hurt, burned child. She was left alone to die in pain. They wouldn’t let her in the nursery – they didn’t even bother to cover her.

I was ashamed of my profession that night! It’s hard to believe this can happen in our modern hospitals, but it does. It happens all the time. I thought a hospital was a place to heal the sick – not a place to kill.

I asked a nurse at another hospital what they do with their babies that are aborted by saline. Unlike my hospital, where the baby was left alone struggling for breath, their hospital puts the infant in a bucket and puts the lid on. Suffocation! Death by suffocation!

A saline abortion is performed by injecting the caustic saline solution into the amniotic fluid that surrounds an unborn baby in the second trimester. The baby breathes in the fluid, which burns her lungs and scorches her skin, causing her to die within several hours.

The mother then goes through labor to give birth to the dead baby.

This type of abortion is seldom performed today because it led to so many live births and because it was dangerous to women; it had the potential to cause severe damage to the woman’s body if the saline was injected into her bloodstream.

A similar procedure where poison is injected into the baby’s heart, or, in some cases, the amniotic fluid, still takes place today and is used in the late second and third trimesters.

The baby Malloy watched die never had a name and never had a chance to live. In a similar situation, Gianna Jessen, who was also aborted by the saline method, was given medical care and survived. She is now a pro-life activist, and her website can be found here.

Nurses Share Heartbreaking Stories of What Happens To Babies Who Survive Abortions

A 2002 article in The Journal of Clinical Nursing seems to indicate that nurses encounter babies born alive after abortions with some frequency. According to the article:

In the case of late termination, the death of the fetus before delivery, though usual, is not inevitable except in rare cases of extreme physical abnormality[.] … At times the fetus will actually attempt to breathe or move its limbs, which makes the experience extremely distressing for nurses.

Also, whereas the woman will probably go through this process once in her lifetime, nurses may go through it several times a year or even in the same week.

The article quotes author and lecturer Annette D. Huntington, BN, Ph.D. saying that abortion live births are a “regular occurrence.”

Another nurse who found herself in the terrible position of caring for an aborted baby told her story in the newsletter of Friendship Pregnancy Center (now called Women’s First Choice Center) in Morristown, New Jersey.

Her story is heartbreaking. On the night the aborted baby came in, three premature babies from a nearby hospital were being taken care of. Two of the three were in danger of dying, and doctors struggled to save their lives. While the doctors were engaged in the struggle to help these two wanted babies, the aborted baby was brought in:

The nurse from Labor and Delivery walked into our unit carrying a blanket and stating “This is a prostaglandin abortion. He has a heartbeat so we brought him over.” The baby was placed under a radiant warmer and I was told the rest of the facts. The gestational age of the baby was given to be 23 weeks by ultrasound.

The mother had cancer and had received chemotherapy treatments before discovering that she was pregnant. The parents had been told that their baby would be horribly deformed because of the chemotherapy.
I looked at the baby boy lying before me, and saw that from all appearances he was perfect. He had a good strong heartbeat. I could tell this without using a stethoscope because I could see his chest moving in sync with his heart rate. With a stethoscope I heard a heart pumping strongly. I look at his size and his skin — he definitely looked more mature than 23 weeks.

He was weighed and I discovered that he was 900 grams, almost two pounds. This was almost twice the weight of some babies we have been able to save. A doctor was summoned. When she arrived the baby started moving his tiny arms and legs flailing. He started trying to gasp, but was unable to get air into his lungs.

His whole body shuddered with his efforts to breathe. We were joined by a neonatalist and I pleaded with both doctors saying, “The baby is viable — look at his size, look at his skin — he looks much older than 23 weeks.”

It was a horrible moment as each of us wrestled with our own ethical standards. I argued that we should make an attempt to resuscitate him, to get him breathing. The resident doctor told me, “This is an abortion. We have no right to interfere.”

The specialist, who had the responsibility for the decision, was wringing his hands and quietly saying, “This is so hard. Oh, God, it’s so hard when it’s this close.” In the end, I lost. We were not going to try to resuscitate this baby.

So, I did the only thing I could do. Dipping my index finger into sterile water and placing it on his head, I baptized the child. Then I wrapped him in blankets to keep him warm, and held him. These were the only measures I could take comfort the baby under the circumstances, no matter how much I wanted to do more.

I held this little boy, who was still gasping for breath, trying to stay alive on his own. As the tears flowed down my face, I pray to God that he would take this child into his care, and that he would forgive me for my own part in his death. After a while, he stopped gasping. His heart continued to be, but the beating became slower and weaker until it finally stopped. He was gone.

Ironically, all the while the nurse was holding the dying aborted child, doctors were struggling to save the life of another premature (but wanted) child in the very same room, less than 5 feet away. Sadly, this baby died as well – but she was given every possible medical treatment, while the aborted baby was completely ignored.

Another nurse, Joan S. Smith, told the following story:

It was a night I’ll never forget. It was 11 pm and my colleague Karen and I “scrubbed in” at the beginning of our shift in the Special Care Nursery of a large teaching hospital….Without warning, a harried nurse rushed into the doorway.

Her white uniform seemed out of place in the area of the hospital where only surgical scrubs are worn.

“Here, take this,” she said, thrusting into my hands a small silver specimen pan covered with a paper towel.

“What is it?” I asked, realizing by the look on her face that something was very wrong.

“It’s an abortion at 22 weeks gestation, delivered on our floor. But it’s alive,” she explained, then turned on her heel and was gone. I removed the paper towel to see the perfectly formed body of a baby boy curled up in the cold metal pan….Karen came over to help. “This happens every so often,” she explained sadly. She had trained at the hospital and worked there for over 15 years.

[After a doctor Joan called simply told her to do nothing but fill in the time of death for the baby] Stoking his tiny arm, I tried to sort out my jumble of emotions. I felt powerless, angry, and overwhelmed by sadness.

How could our medical system be so full of ironies? Here I was surrounded by medical technology, which was of no avail to this tiny child. I wondered if the parents even were told that their son had been admitted to the hospital as a live birth with footprints taken, and identification number and band given, a physician notified of his birth- yet all of this merely an unpredicted complication of a routine abortion.

It took nearly four hours until that tiny heart slowed to a stop. With tears in my eyes, I wrapped his body for the morgue. This was all of a life this child would ever know. He would never know the warmth of a mother’s embrace. No one would ever celebrate his birth. He would never even be given a name.

It is not unheard of for a baby born at 22-23 weeks to survive with medical treatment. Little Amillia Taylor was born at just 21 weeks and six days and weighed less than 10 ounces. She survived and is a healthy toddler today. Amillia’s mother actually had to lie to get the doctors to treat her baby – they had a policy of not treating children born before 23 weeks.

Amillia Taylor

Cases of late-term abortions blur the line between abortion and infanticide. Clearly, when a baby can survive on its own, even for short while, it becomes obvious that abortion is the killing of a human being.

In reality, life is a continuum from conception to natural death – although babies aborted at later stages of development are more fully developed, abortion is murder from the very beginning. But stories of babies born alive and then denied medical care are heart-wrenching and a terrible indictment of our society, which permits such atrocities.

Testimony of David Brewer, MD, former Abortion Provider

  1. Until I read this, article, I never knew how abortion was performed. I believe it is called Cold Blooded Murder. CRUEL. Mothers who do not want babies should obtain from sex period. End of story. If we did not make it so easy for mothers of unwanted babies to have abortion then they would take the necessary precautions they should be taking anyway. Those babies are human beings. Hospitals that just let aborted babies die are not keeping their oath to save lives. They are also taking part in murdering innocent children. They should loose their license.

    • Thank you! You said this perfectly. Our world and society has enabled people to not be held liable for their own actions, let alone consequences. A baby from conception, is a living being as it is always developing just a a baby develops into a toddler, to child, to adult.

    • So mothers should abstain (I guess this is what you mean?) from sex?

What about fathers, without sperm there’s no babies. Its easier for a man to wear a condom (And safer too!) its just some are too big headed to think they should.

      • Yeah, mothers should abstain. That is what she meant and I agree. It’s the mother that ‘decides’ what she does with a HUMAN LIFE. The father had no say. He can do whatever he wants with his sperm. If a female wants to have sex, she can take birth control or use protection. This senseless murder is unacceptable. Don’t try to turn this into something it’s not.

        • Condom causes no side effect, but a lot of side effects are associated with birth control. Are you aware of it? How is about people who suddenly diagnosed with cancer? How about abnormal baby? The baby will suffer and parents will suffer. Have you given some thoughts to these incidents? How about women getting raped or hiv diagnosed women?

          • Who are you to decide if a baby with abnormalities has or doesn’t have the right to live? –And why is it so hard for people to accept the fact that if you have SEX (especially without protection) that you could get pregnant??? Hellooooo!! That moment, the very moment you decide to have sex, is the moment YOU made the choice to accept the possibly of becoming a parent!!

Now, for those that are raped? Although in my heart I could never abort, no matter the circumstances, I do accept the fact that those women are victims of a very awful crime… they didn’t make the choice to become a parent. But unfortunately they are faced with an even more difficult decision… You have to also think about the consequences of aborting that baby? Most women who have an abortion always say it was the worst moment in their lives and they are emotionally scarred… Anyway, either way, you do not have the right to speak for an unborn baby! Period!!

          • HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT ALL THOSE “POSSIBILITIES” YOU ARE SITING ARE STATISICALLY PROVEN TO BE LESS THE 1% of the millions of “convenience” abortions performed in this county.

      • You are right that it is easier for them to wear a condom. But when has it EVER actually been the mans decision to have the abortion? If us as woman feel that we are not ready to have children, then it is our duty to ourselves to be protected and know our limits. Abortion is a disgusting way for irresponsible people to get rid of their responsibility.

    • Please include the men who demand sex from women as well! It should not just be women who are responsible for this. Men need to take responsibility as well

    • Well those women would use birth control if it wasn’t for bigots (such as you) trying to control their bodies. Sex is something that happens (or rape) and a woman should not be the only one held accountable for her actions. A lot of the time its the men who pressure the girls into getting abortion by manipulating the poor women. So no, don’t be a bigot and try to say just abstain from sex. Realize that there need to be methods for the consenting woman to prevent pregnancy.

  2. I am totally against abortion The only exception if the mother is risking her life To me it’s known as killing and that baby had no choice It’s so wrong and to think a dog gets treated better so what’s the difference It’s barbaric and horrific No one should have to witness a baby cruelty die Shame on the human race

    • I have seen articles from doctors who say abortion is never a necessary procedure to save a mother’s life because it is quicker and safer to do a C-section. Abortion causes a lot of trauma to the woman’s body, not to mention the emotional and psychological trauma. I also did a study on this in college. I agree with the doctors who say it is never necessary.

  3. Legalized Murder all in the name of abortion. That confirms the Truth that no law supersede that of GOD full of love and perfection. There is GOD Ohhhhh

    • Are we talking about the same God who killed all first born’s in Egypt, just to prove his power? Yes. yes, Old Testament, but even in the New Testament, he kicks on murder and had his own son killed. Just saying. I am not in favor of abortion, but leave God out of it as he has a pretty dark history when it comes to killing his own relatives 😉

      • His own Son is not dead. He was a sacrifice for our sin. And the children of Egypt died because the fathers in Egypt chose it, not because God wanted to do it. Read the whole book, Tim, to understand the concepts.

      • Tim Van Bulck. Actually Jesus chose to die! Big difference. And God didn’t kill Jesus the Jews did. If Jesus wanted to end his death he could. And he would have. But he didn’t because he loved people and wanted them to know his father in heaven. He wanted us his people to have everlasting life and not die for ever and ever. You do not have all of the facts. You choose parts out of the bible to benefit what you want it to benefit and that is your comments. He killed all of the newborns in Egypt because Pharaoh would not let his people go. He asked him several times. Pharaoh was abusive and a murderer and God gave him several chances. So eventually to get Pharaoh to let his people go he let the angel of death take them. Thos babies are probably in heaven. Because God loves children. He loved Pharaoh enough to ask him kindly to let his people go and pharaoh spat in his face over and over. You just now spat in God’s face by saying leave him out of it. He will never be out of it. Because God is the ultimate authority. Whether any of us choose to believe it or not. I pray that you see this yourself one day. But learn the God of the bible and not what you just choose to pick out of it. I am praying for you seriously to know the God of the bible and see that you are loved by him.

        • yes Jesus did it to save the human race for our sins and not only that god never and would never ever kill another human being and aleacia I agree with what u are saying

      • Darling sweetheart – pharaoh killed the first born NOT God – disobedience and foolishness will lead to death each time baby – don’t get it twisted – God is not on your level.

  4. Thank God for the new American government of president Trump, that is taking the world back to the ancient land mark of the infailable word of God that says ” thou shall not kill” Those that kill in the name of abortion, if your mother had aborted you in the name of unwanted pregnacy, would you have existed to day? So, I Emmanul Ifeanyi Opara is stronly declaring that i am against this wicked act of modern way of silent killing of babies called abortion. Those that do it or in support of it should be ready to face God’s judgement.

  5. Those poor little ones! So extremely sad! What about the nurses who are expected to deal with these little ones?! Are they being exposed to the risk of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder arising from the traumatic experience of a viable little one dying in front of them. Nurses take an oath to preserve life and work towards the good health of their patients.

  6. Comment: Life is a gift from, why will u wanna take it away from someone just because you have the power to do so. This is called nothing but MURDER. I wonder why a Doctor will do what is against his job ethics after taking an oath to save lives.

  7. This is so heartbreaking. I really can’t come to terms with this whole abortion thing. When did humans become this wicked watching pure innocent babies struggle to stay in touch with life and they are just left to die without being given a chance to survive. What a wicked and sinful world we’re living in. Lord please have mercy!!!!

  8. I take my decision from the bible which tells what happens when we take innocent blood. This country is guilty as charged. If you read the nurses stories we know what horrible suffering these little babies suffer at the hands of an abortionist. Millions of these little babies have had to go thru these scalding’s and having their little bodies being pulled apart. I only hope we can stop this horrible procedure and that God will be merciful in dealing with our country.

  9. This is so sad and I’m heart broken. The last of my four children is 3 months old and I cannot even think of letting him go through such an ordeal no matter what!
Abortion is wrong! If for the sake of “human rights” a mother cannot be denied an abortion, it is the responsibility of the medical staff to explain in detail what will be done and the possible effects. I suggest that the mothers should be made to take responsibility by holding those babies who are alive until they die in their arms! Let them experience what they have put their own flesh and blood through… Why should the poor babies suffer alone? Let them suffer with them; the guilt should be their burden and not that of the nurses. If women can make the decision of killing their own babies with justifications let them know the repercussions of their decisions. This I believe will help to drastically reduce the number of abortions Someone has to stand for these innocent babies! What is their crime?God forgive us!

  10. I was 3 1/2 months pregnant, when I began spotting, then losing tissue, then my water broke, and I started bleeding profusely. I wanted this baby so badly, but it was not to be. At the hospital I was taken into surgery for a DNC. Which was a legal abortion to save my life. My pregnancy was almost a tubal, and the doctor said that I would have hemorrhaged to death, before passing the baby. This was such a trauma, I was put on tranquilizers for a period of time to combat the depression. I was able to have a normal birth 3 years later, by taking hormones to carry the baby until I felt life. My next pregnancy ended in a miscarriage also, the doctor said that my body did not produce the hormones to carry a baby. So I took hormones again for my fourth pregnancy. I believe my first pregnancy was possibly twins, because I got bigger faster with that one, than with the next three. Twins and multiple births ran very high in both my husband’s and my side of our families. The miscarriage was hard enough to handle at that time, but I am so glad that I didn’t know they had to cut them up to get them out. That was 55 years ago, and I quit after having two normal births.

  11. if we only knew how much others long to have children, we would guard the precious ones given us by God… 😢😢

  12. Time to write your congressmen and senators telling them to defund Planned Parenthood NOW ask them to do the job they were put in office to do vote the will of the people.
Get involved with what is going on in Washington get behind our President support his efforts. It is time we the people take a stand not sit quietly by as they keep funding Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars and killing baby’s

    • Abortion is perfectly okay, if someone does not have the resources to look after the child properly or is homeless or doesn’t have a steady job, the woman could have been raped, the pregnancy could be causing life threatening complications for the mother and the baby, if abortion was made illegal then the about of abortions would not reduce but the amount of people dying from illegal/backstreet abortions would sky rocket. If planned parenthood was defunded then more women would become pregnant as contraceptions would not be as widely available, if available at all. Yes it’s sad but just because you don’t agree with abortion does not mean you have any right to decide what other people do with their lives

      • Zoe, Abortion is murder. Using birth control or abstaining from sex is an option. Let planned parenthood provide these services.

        • Abortion keeps more children out of the system, it means that (most) children born are wanted, would you walk into a abortion clinic and say to each woman there that you will provide financial, emotional, physical support for each child till they are old enough to fully support themselves. I very much doubt you would. What if you were raped and became pregnant would you want to look at the product of that each and every day? A fetus is not alive till it takes its first breath, it is not sentient and it is not fair to force mothers to keep unwanted children or risk death in order to get rid of them illegally

          • The babies heart beats way before it breathes the air. Don’t get pregnant in the first place. Women are using abortion as a form of birth control and THAT is wrong.

          • You have to be mentally disabled. A child is not alive until it takes its first breath?? GTFOH! An embryo can have a heart beat as early as 5w as it transitions to the fetus stage of growth, therefore it is a living human, still developing. It eats, drinks and thinks for itself at that point. Stop being biased. A single spermicide and a single egg meet and create an embryo. Let you start your factual reasearch from there and have several seats while doing so.

          • You are totally wrong. A child in the womb is alive from the moment of conception. And I will tell you that even a child conceived in rape has the right to live. There are so many people that want to have a baby that can’t and Wouk adopt that baby. My thought is if I was raped that baby would still be half mine. I couldn’t ever kill a child of mine no matter what. There are amazing stories of people that were raped and kept the baby. Maybe you should read some. Abortion is murder. There is never a good reason for an abortion.

          • they dont have to keep them. a mother can drop a baby off at a fore dept or hospital no questions asked. also, there is adoption. either option is better than murder

          • Zoe less than 0.3% of abortions are used for being raped. Women just don’t want their children. It selfishness. Everyone always goes back to the woman may die; less than 1% of abortions happen in cases of risk to the mothers life. 0.5% of abortion is for fetal deformation. There are many happy healthy normal children who have a slight case of deformation. It is an excuse to abort a child. If you have a child you do not want adopt it out! Babies go quicker in adoption than anyone realizes. I wish my biological mother would have given me up at birth. She did not have the funds to take care of me and instead kept me and abused me and my sisters. But if I found out that she tried to abort me then I would have been very angry because I have learned so much through my suffering in foster care. Adoption is the best way I learned this later on in life when I was adopted at age 17. I love my family. And it really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I was very fortunate in foster care and only got a few abusive homes. Those abusive homes taught me to never let anyone do that to other people. I am now happy with my family. I am happy my mom decided to keep me alive. So I could walk, run, enjoy running, and living my life and eventually finding God. I learned so much in life, and I wouldn’t trade any of my suffering. I think those children wanted to live why else would they fight and move their arms and legs? Their lives were snuffed out and it is wrong to do this to innocent children. So in conclusion 98% of a abortions are strictly based off of convenience.

          • There are many people who spend years trying to adopt a baby. Inability to care for it is a cop out. If you choose to have sex, you choose to take the chance of consequences, one of which is pregnancy. Yes, some people didn’t choose to have sex, but that number is much lower than people want you to believe, especially since many raped women choose to carry their baby to term. No one is saying that without an abortion you have to care for a child for 18 years, but you do have to own up to what you’ve done and be inconvenienced for a time instead ofmurdering a baby for your convenience.

          • HUGE INCREASE OF ABORTIONS (DEAD BABIES) In 1968 there were 4,441 abortions in the US and after legalization the number jumped to 294, 678 in one year (1973) the year of Roe v. Wade.

Zoe dear, whether you and I believe that abortion is “ok” or not, there is ONLY ONE TRUTH and it God’s truth. God teaches us to be responsible people and gives us the knowledge and wisdom for EVERYTHING we can possibly face in life. Most of the abortions are from people who shouldn’t have been having sex and must hide the fact from friends, spouses, family and neighbors. God gives us rules for living to spare us the painful results of our irresponsible actions and choices. He loves us and wants us to be healthy in every way and there millions of women who regret and suffer emotional trauma, guilt and anguish after having an abortion. Millions of women have been injured and some die directly linked to her abortion.

Before abortion was legalized in 1973 people were very much more responsible, not to have sex when they shouldn’t and it was usually unmarried girls who had abortions because she would otherwise be shamed (which I don’t agree with).

      • Zoe ppl die from legal abortions. Every single time. One of the two patients dies. Always the baby. If made illegal, maybe some or several women would rethink their decision and possibly keep the baby or even put up for adoption. And if they choose to obtain an illegal or backstreet abortion, they accept the outcome. U don’t make murder legal just because some women chose to do something that cost them their life. The babies life is lost every single time. And by the way, it’s a baby. Not a dog. Not an eagle. Not a fish. A human baby. It’s a sad day in our history when we treat a Bald Eagles eggs better than we treat the tiniest of human babies. It’s a crime to disturb the nest of a Bald Eagle. And btw, I had 2 abortions and it stays with u for life. It’s something I regret to this day. I wish someone would have talked me out of it. Maybe put them up for adoption. At least I would sleep better at night knowing I gave them a chance at life.

      • Those. Babies were denied medical attention it was neglect resulting in murder! They had no rights and they were separate human beings! with their own DNA fingerprints breath and heartbeats ! It was murder if a mother had killed her baby or small child we seek the death penalty! This was no different

      • “Yes it’s sad but just because you don’t agree with abortion does not mean you have any right to decide what other people do with their lives”
Zoe surely this then applies to an unborn babies choice to live or die as well or is it only selective to suit your point of view?

      • There are other options for those women who can’t care for a child properly and/or are homeless. I would not be a mom today if it weren’t for two women (one was homeless; one was too young to care care of her baby) who chose life for their children. There are many women who cannot have children and long to be mommas.

      • Abortion is perfectly Ok? Tell that to those like my son and daughter in law who’ve been trying to conceive for over 6 years. It must break their hearts to hear about babies aborted, especially those who are born alive and could be saved!

      • birth control is free now. no excuses. planned parenthood should still offer the services they do especially free birth control and education without offerin abortion

  13. Planned Parenthood helped me save my baby girl. I had no insurance, and they provided me with the help I needed.Their programs are wonderful, minus being an abortion clinic as well. It’s not planned parenthoods fault for others decisions, condoning them, maybe. But, judging those who make a choice in life, that us as outsiders have no clue what they are going through, os also a sin. At it is least in my God loving religion.

  14. I can’t even begin to tell you how this information has impacted me. I have always been against abortion, but I didn’t have a clue as to how horrid and inhumane the process could be. I now know that my prayers on this matter will never be the same. I believe my cry for these babies and their parents will be louder than ever.

  15. As a former nurse, I am astounded and outraged that hospitals collude in abortion deaths in this way. My heart breaks..

Generally, I am against abortion, it is a terrible choice to have to make; but if a girl or woman was raped or the baby is the result of incest, I am less clear.

Also, I often wonder what the anti-abortionists actually do to help these young girls and women keep their babies, provide emotional support, help them domestically and financially, until the child is grown? I have never heard of it.

    • Mother’s Choice, in Hong Kong, cares for women in difficulty, providing care during the pregnancy and after, providing as much as they can for the mother, and for the baby. And if the mother makes the hard decision to offer their baby for adoption, they provide care for the baby.

  16. This is heartbreaking to me ,I delivered my boys at 23 weeks and Thier lungs were not attached to thier blood stream. Knowing they would not survive I baptized them and held them until they passed away.Thinking about a baby being left in the hallway cold and alone makes me sick to my stomach.

  17. To those that say they agree with abortion because they can’t afford a baby and all of their lament excuses, stop having sex if you can’t afford a baby or birth control, I say there are Holmes for unwed mom’s, and free clinics all over, then give the child up for adoption to someone who is longing for one, but God help those who abort which is murder, he will judge you, and Hell is for eternity…So sad those hospital,s allow these babies die, they will be judged also..

    • Wow, hateful much. Are you without sin? If you are go ahead and cast that stone. You do realize that all sin is equal in God’s eyes. God says judge lest ye be judged. It is God’s place to know the hearts and not yours. What about the women who were raped? Should every woman around the world take birth control just in case she is raped? Did you hear about the case where a rapist’s attorney tried to get his client off because his victim asked him to wear a condom. Have you heard about the states where a woman’s rapist can file against a woman for visitation and win? What about getting custody if the woman doesn’t want the child and she has to pay child support? I guess that is okay, We can keep punishing the victim, for her crime of just being a woman and being there. How many kids have you taken into your home? I am talking kids not a baby. Do you know how many kids are in the system? Who gives those children the love that they deserve?

  18. How has our modern society come to this? Or should I say been doing this for so long? Where is humanity? How come in third world countries they can look upon this as an atrocity but in our country we let this infanticide take place daily, call it a “Woman’s right and choice.” It’s simply horrific!

  19. I am sorry. God forgive. I once thought it was a modern way of doing things. I will now ensure women are encouraged to keep their pregnancies and give birth under all odds.

  20. I was sobbing after reading this. In 1970 I gave birth to still born baby boy at 26 weeks. He was perfectly formed and my broken heart grieved for him. It was 13 years later that I gave birth to a full term baby boy who is now almost 34 years old.

People will answer to God for murdering babies.

  21. My child was a result of a rape so that doesn’t come into play either & I was 3 days into my 7th month when I had my little 3 lb 3 oz miracle! She is the light of my life & she has given me 3 beautiful granddaughters!! NOBODY should have to deal with a death of a child but when they just murder them without any conscience is just so unreal to me!!!!

  22. I think that it should be mandatory for every person alive to read this and see these pictures! I am so ashamed of ‘humans’who make these choices! This is the worst crime of all.

  23. I’m 23 weeks old, tiny and vulnerable,
inside a womb, burning and curdling.
As I breathe in this substance, my body becomes toxic, tossing and turning to rid free of the pain.

I come out like a shot and then placed in a basin, cold to the skin i realise I’m now laying on steel. This rough green material is placed over me like rubbish, hiding from the fact that I’m quickly dying.

As I take my last breathe as my lungs start to fade, my wish to my mother, I hope you regret this one day.

  24. This tears me apart that these babies were 21 weeks and over in these stories i lost my little biy that i very wanted due to that doctors said his like would not be viable enough. All i wanted was my little boy to be ok but yet theres all these amazing angles being forced to heaven. Its not fair to the women that have to loose their child because god choose it tjat way when these women murder theirs!!!!!!!😢

  25. Zoe…. your comment ” just because you don’t agree with abortion does not mean you have any right to decide what other people do with their lives.” Yet by your agreement to abortion, you are deciding what will be done with someone else’s life. Someone that had no say in his/her current situation. Civilized people do not throw away other people just because they are inconvenient. That heart beats in the womb just like it does outside of the womb. I cannot understand how it can be acceptable to end an innocent life with such a lack of concern.

  26. Murdering a child is never ok. If the mother don’t have the resources to care for the child (as stated in an earlier post) there is welfare or adoption. Even if the mother was raped, there is adoption. If the disabled and elderly don’t have resources to care for themselves, should we kill them too? Abortion is seldom medically necessary, and when it is it should still be allowed to be performed. In most cases when the mothers life is in danger, a C-section is preformed and actions are taken to save the lives of both the mother and child.

  27. Abortion is murder in the first! I don’t care how you justify it!!! I’m not buying it!!! There are many ways to prevent pregnancy in America we should never have resorted to murder that is so barbaric!!! We as a nation are paying for this! If you’re to nuts to take a pill keep your legs shut! If you’re raped you can always give the baby up for adoption abortion should still not be an option!!! I hope Trump stops this madness!!! Wake up ppl!!! Take responsibility for your actions why should a baby pay with its life because you decided to have unprotected sex!!! Makes no sense!!!

  28. Um guys you know this article is bullshit right? If any of it were true, everyone involved would be in jail, Kermit Gosnell style. And for ya’ll talking about adoption, if that’s such a great alternative then why are there so many adoptable children in our foster system? How about everyone who is so “outraged” by abortion make a donation to help fund sex education, birth control, and/or support of single moms? Or is that against your religion too?

    • How about parents educating their children about sex and the consequences that arise when you have unprotected sex. How about parents with children funding sex education, birth control, etc. since a large portion of those having abortions are teenagers. Why should the whole universe be responsible for paying for all of that? If you’re 16 years old and mature enough to be having sex, then you should be responsible and mature enough to protect yourself from unwanted pregnancy. In my opinion, anyone who gets pregnant these days, with all the birth control out there today available to them, wants to get pregnant. When does a woman or young teenage couple, who got pregnant at 15/16, etc. try to break the cycle and educate their sons and daughters? When I was in grade school, we had instruction on sex, sexual behavior, pregnancy etc. WITH our Mother present at the presentations. Abortion is not and should not be considered a form of birth control. In my opinion, abortion is murder, plain and simple.

  29. This is definitely an awful thing, but why get so worked up on someone else’s life? We can all hate as much as we want, but at the end of the day it doesn’t change anything. Let them who choose abortion deal with it on their own. The best thing to do would be pray about it and move on. As Christians we need to work on ourselves, and make sure we are perfect instead of judging another person’s sins.

    • The problem is: they don’t deal with it on their own. they don’t see what the fetus looks like after the abortion, whether its dead or alive. In most cases, they never see it at all, which is why I believe some of the people think its such an easy thing to do. They don’t recognize the fetus as a viable being with a beating heart. I agree with one of the other responses: let the mother or parents of these aborted fetuses see exactly what they look like, let them watch them take their last breath, or see them burned from saline abortions. Maybe that would change their minds. If not, I would like to think the images of their aborted child would be indelibly stamped in their minds and hearts forever. They should live with the guilt of their decision, not the nurses and/or doctors whose hands are tied by bureaucracy to be able to do anything to save the baby .

  30. even if a baba was 22 to 23 weeks old the nurses and doctors should of done more to help the little baby out no matter what the situation is at the end of the day this is so heart breaking it hurts me because knowing they have left the babies to die is so horrible and disgraceful maybe they should have a reality check and maybe they should get nurses and doctors who are fully trained and more qualified so the babies would survive and I feel so gutted because this is the biggest crime that people have left babies to die and it is also a big crime for a an abortion I mean how would they feel if they were in there mothers womb and hadn’t survived maybe they would think twice before killing the child

  31. I’m against obortions … but tbh if anyone raped my daughter exspecialy at a young at such as 10 years old.. I wonder what would ppl say about that if it was the case.. would u all the sudden have a heart for a young kid that was raped or would u be judging a 10 year old on having an abortion.. I guess I have to admit that I’m really against it but also I’m not in this situation of what I’m talking about.. I guess I would have to ask God to help me inthis situation

  32. It is amazing how people condemn the girl for having an abortion. What about the young teen who is sowing his wild oats.
Prevention is always better than cure…. I read a story re a girl who didn;t know she was pregnant. She went into labour and when the dr asked the boyfriend who had a religious upbringing. How come you didn;t know she was pregnant.. and do you know what he said.. I thought if you made love standing up she couldn’t get pregnant… I also think ignorance is not bliss.. time to talk to your children.. I know girls who were almost raped by boys who would not take no for an answer. After both world wars men came home and that was all they thought about going forth and multiplying. Men hate wearing gumboots they call them condoms.. Now we have syphilis in New Zealand. I saw films on this at age 13 when a baby is born with this.. many graphic pictures on the net…. I had a baby born with three holes in his heart.. I have spent 36 years worrying about my boy when I had to give him up to care.. well he was starving where he lived and was 47 kilos when we got him back .. then he went into care somewhere else only to be bullied by an autistic boy who wouldn’t let him go to the toilet or watch tv.. he had 13 trips to hospital after having a seizure and vomiting then he wouldn’t drink or eat.. so he went into renal failure.. I never smoked or drank or even took a disprin having him… Unless you have a handicapped child none of you can comment about abortion.. no=one wants to have an abortion but many women get left after they their boyfriends bugger off and don;t wan to take responsibility.. I had a terrible time having two caesarean ops having both my boys. I also had a blood transfusion after my first boy. my sister in law thinks that is a sin too as she is Jehovah witness.. well my son had blood too during his 7 hour heart operation.. we would both be dead.. keep your opinions to yourself everyone as until you walk a mile in my moccasins don;t judge what everyone should do. Every child should be a wanted child my dr used to say.. I also went to a catholic school, girls are made to feel guilty about everything.. I knew a girl who got pregnant to a priest.. My father was molested by a priest also.. Time people took responsibility everyone for your actions. I think people should be more concerned what people do to their children and cutting private bits of them not wanting these children to grow up and enjoy normal sex. They even stitch girls up to be tight. I also lived in South Africa.. no domestic purpose benefits there or the dole… abortion is their only choice. The amount of women being raped over a weekend and murdered for sex is serious. One weekend 9 women were murdered in one of the town ships… it is getting worse too. So many girls got left in the lurch where I worked in big department store and many were adopted out… many girls I know never got over having to adopt them out. Then the government brought in a domestic purposes benefit to help girls in this situation.. Now we have guys leaving them as they know we the tax payer will pay for them to have children. My own niece was having her second daughter and her partner demanded she have an abortion he wanted a boy!!!!!!!!!.. she didn;t have it but she got rid of him after he was having an affair.. so don;t blame women for all these unwanted babies.. men get girls pregnant… that is life.. don’t judge someone elses life.. walk the talk or mind your own business.. I hope none of you end up in this situation or have a 12 year old daughter pregnant.. keep all your religious opinions to yourself.. Our world is getting very over populated because men won;t use condoms.. diseases and aids are now rife again.. I have lived through hell with my son, and so have the parents of other residents where my son lives. we all get together to have xmas together at their house.. they all need 24 hour care. the caregivers get paid to look after them we don;t. so don;t judge.

  33. All of you Christians make an excellent point. I expect to see you all lined up at the hospital and outside of Planned Parenthood tomorrow waiting to take these unwanted and uncared for children into your homes. Bless you for this selfless act! Oh wait…

    • If there was a way to take them im sure that people not only christians will take these children. Its not about religion its about doing what is humane.

  34. This is disgusting, what they should do is give the baby to the mother so that she can watch it die in front of her eyes. And for the nurses i think that you could have done something, but its not that you can not intervene but its got to do with your own pocket. If you are to push the boundary of the policies it will cost you your job. If that was me i would do something and then i would walk out of that profession, because at the end of the day you are also responsible for those babies, not only one but multiple. I think these stories come out of guilt and yes, it will be on all your hands because you also allowed the children to die, when you were train to safe lives.

  35. Animals also take responsibility of their acts. They mate and take responsibility of the outcome- their children. We as human beings who are higher than them are supposed to be more responsible. Abortion is a cold blooded murder, unfortunately done by those hands who are supposed to extend love, compassion and life. Both man and the woman involved are responsible for this kind of heinous acts in the society. It is high time when we do not treat sex not just as a means of entertainment or pleasure but a responsible act for begetting spiritually evolved children, and thus a bright social future.

  36. One of these nurses, the one from the first story with the burned baby left to die in the basket for exemple, should just turn on her phone and make a video of that dying child. Then post it on facebook and youtube. This is murder, but people will only understand it if they see it on a video. You can write thousand words and they’ll just say “oh but it’s only a fetus!”, make a video and post it and they will see the CHILD!

  37. I have 8 children though I could not get pregnant. I have many blessings in my life. So glad their biologic mothers did not abort them. Abortion is murder. What about the baby’s choice. They wouldn’t choose to die.

  38. How can anyone watch a baby struggling with horrible painful burns? At least take them out of their horrible pain. I wasn’t even there and the picture of that precious baby suffering is haunting. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath?

  39. This hurts too much…… my insides tighten to hold my breaking heart. …. Even the animals of the field stand back in amazement, as witnesses to the atrocities set forth by the hand of a species who were placed above them in the order of creation….rl

  40. This is so sad. Abortion should be banned!! This is so heartsore to read… killing an innocent baby:( This is murder!!!

  41. When i was young in the 70s I worked in hospitals as a Nurses Aide. I got a job in a Catholic Hospital. I only worked about two weeks and left. They did abortions. The women were lined up in the back waiting their turn. The room used was what was once their ER. About 15-20′ around the corner from the door where the girls entered were stacked large pickle about 1 gallon size glass jars with the aborted babies. Most well formed. There were also coffees cans used, with or without lids. Few flies swarmed the stack was two rows wide and halfway up against the wall. After I left and applied for employment at another hospital, explained the reason I left, personnel told me they had been getting quite a fees applicants from there with the similar story. Eventually St. Michaels was closed. THank God. Another time I work at another hospital where the mom lost the baby. The baby fitted in a metal pan where usually surgical instruments were placed. The pan sat on the counter by the basin. I walked in and the baby was still alive. The doctor who delivered the baby was standing by the tray quietly weeping. He said there was nothing that could be done. This mind you was in the around 64. I wonder if women saw these things, would they still abort?

  42. Very heartbreaking. I was not able to tolerate to read all. Shame to mom that do this to the child that could be a kid for another family who want her or him badly. At least give the option of adoption.

  43. Reading this makes me feel sick to my stomach how can this be allowed or right ? If I was a nurse or dr I would of broke the law to give these babies a chance of life abortion like this is murder drs are there to save lives not watch them struggle and die with every breath, I’ve never believed in abortion in any form at conception a life is a life I thought early abortion was sick but late ones are just murder, if more people were informed about what can happen with a live abortion more woman would say no.

  44. A fetus is a baby. Abortion out of convenience. There are too many organizations today that support life and work with young mothers to consider adoption. It is the best option.

  45. I think you should let the parent know that the abortion didn’t take and their child is alive. Let them see that and see their child. Then make a decision from that point.

    • what’s the difference? An abortion is an abortion, early or late term? it is a viable being with a beating heart.

  46. Giving birth does not automatically make anyone a PARENT. A PARENT is someone who loves and cares for a child. You don’t even have to have ever given birth to be a mother!
    Needed to point that out.
There are some laws regarding late term abortions that really need to be looked into. I personally feel the ONLY reason for this horrible action to take place is if the life of the pregnant woman is at risk of fatality, and to continue the gestation to full term would result in the woman’s death. It also should continue to be the woman who has the last word on I’d they want to take that risk or terminate.
I can’t think of any other valid reason for this procedure to take place.

  47. its horrible n i cudnt stop crying while reading this whole story. i pray to the doctors in concern that such babies should be given a chance to survive as they do have a right to live, no matter even if unwanted.
this story reminded me of a baby boy who was brought to the baby care unit of the hospital where i had recently given birth to my first baby. the mother was six months pregnant and the baby came while she was being aborted in another hospital, another city. overnight the baby was brought to this hospital as only it had a modern baby care facility. the baby not only survived but also continued to grow .

  48. I can’t get around the fact that such a law exists which argues the rights of a live baby to be resuscitated. Not judging the parents wanting an abortion, but if such a baby lives, the parents would have by default surrendered their rights to it and there are thousands of childless couples, I am sure, who would take on the child with open arms. Even if not, no child should be allowed to die at a late term abortion process without given all the rightful help to survive the ordeal. And parents should be only allowed to take such a step under unavoidable dire circumstances of serious terminal issues.

    • Got an evidence of that? There’s plenty of evidence online to show that these stories and other similar cases is happening all the time. Normally when people say it’s not true it’s because it destroys their own thoughts that abortion is not murder and it’s only a fetus but the truth is, we’re talking about a life, a babies life not a fetus. Life begins at conception end of…

    • If none of this is true then who is Jeanna Jesson? Have you ever looked this woman up? She’s a real life Saline abortion survivor. Sounds like you may have had an abortion and you don’t know what you’re talking about.

  49. I am pro life and I think the children who get into a hospital whether in abortion or something else should be given the care that any living person receives and they survive they can be taken to children’s home or given out for adoption otherwise it seems like a second murder!!

  50. “IT’s” still alive? Since when has a human life been referred to as an “it”?? I have been SO for a woman’s right to choose for most of my life, but this is making me start to rethink my position. OUCH.

  51. I believe parents who want an abortion should be forced by law to accompany the aborted baby until the time of death. Let them have to live with themselves for what they have committed.

  52. I am getting tears continuously while reading the article. I am helpless..except feeling bad to know such barbarous things are happening around us. If I am helpful anyways, pl ibform.

  53. Robin This isismurder plain sin and simple.I belive the mothers and doctors will go to hell for the murderd.i hope they have nightmares I pray for the nurses who are forced thee death this are forggiven. The Dr could have at least ease their pain. But know Through they ay are WITHOUT heart.

  54. How horrible, abortion is wrong, then poor babies all on there own with no one to hold there tiny hands while there trying to survive is soul destroying

  55. This is dreadful in this day and age.all the people that want babies and can’t it’s murder through and through, the poor nurses and Drs that have there hands tied

  56. This is just too painful to read…..every life is to be treasured for every life is given by god and no one has the rights to take it away other than god!

    • Even if a baby is 1 week old its a child that God gaved us to show love and to protect them from any harm that may come to them. And look these poeple dont love and protect this little babbies they kill them. There are so many mothers and fathers that would do any thing just to have that little baby in their arms that could not have kids.

  57. I feel dreadfully sick reading this especially after losing a baby at 21 weeks and sobbing for months over my loss that tore my relationship apart because I blamed my then partner for saying he was too old for a baby when I told him I was pregnant. I felt it was God punishing us for his statement of not wanting our little girl. To know these little babies survive and abortion and are left to struggle in this way until they die from neglect makes me physically sick – I had to run to the bathroom to throw up. What they are doing goes against the hipocratic oath of a dr and should be criminalised. This is NOT God’s way. 😭

  58. Saline abortion if done to anyone outside the womb would be called torture and murder. It’s a disgrace to our civilisation. How many loving homes would do anything to have a baby to love and nurture and we allow these little ones to die alone. God is not mocked!

  60. I hate the way people are so politically correct about some things and it even extends to life and death situations. “Oh we are not allowed… against policy”. Weren’t policies made to protect us rather than kill us?

    • This article is really misleading. Most of the babies in the article are much bigger then the one in the picture in your post.
Secondly, the articles used to support this one are over 15 years old. I’m sure there have been advancements in medicine.
Thirdly, many states now have rules that prevent abortion after a certain age to prevent this very article from happening.

  62. My twin grandchildren survived 24 weeks gestation they have now just celebrated their 2nd birthday and are healthy and perfect.

  63. This article is really misleading. Most of the babies in the article are much bigger then the one in the picture in your post.
Secondly, the articles used to support this one are over 15 years old. I’m sure there have been advancements in medicine.
Thirdly, many states now have rules that prevent abortion after a certain age to prevent this very article from happening.
Lastly, it gives no author, and no date of publish. I’d be weary to believe this article with its little or old sources.
Please understand that I am not intending to side one way or the other of pro life or pro choice. I am an advocate for truth and good information, and a student nurse.

  64. Isn’t the solution to this not having such late abortions? I think early abortions (say, 2-3 months) are alright because the fetus hasn’t developed enough in order to be considered an “infant” – there’s no life in it for it to have been killed. But these late abortions are simply monstrous. I cannot believe they were ever allowed and don’t think they should ever be.

  65. One day we will be held accountable for how we have lived our lives. for the choices we have made, and sadly we will hold our heads in shame at many of the things we have done, the things we have done, but even more so for the things we have failed to do, the times we have remained silent when we should have had the courage to speak out, the times we have failed to act, when our actions could have changed situations for the better.
I pray we all have the courage and strength to act, to speak to do the right things to not be ashamed of the life we have been given, tat when we move on from this world we will here the words….”Well done , good and faithful servant….”

  66. This is clearly an awfully traumatic experience for the nurses involved, and abortions should never occur without very serious consideration.
It is important to note that the doctors found one of the experiences related incredibly traumatic as well, why would they accept to do a procedure unless this was a freak occurrence, and the felt the likelihood of highly debilitating things would occur. It is also important to note that saline abortion (aka instillation) is a VERY outdated method, and used incredibly rarely. The CDC report below suggests that only 5 US states used this method at all in 2007, and even then it was a very very rare method used (less than 0.5%)
It is hard to imagine, but there are possible cases where abortion could be the most reasonable solution. Imagine the cancer patient has 3 other children, is an only parent, and the doctors felt that a full term pregnancy had incredibly high chances of killing the mother, it’s not quite so clear cut (I’m not saying that’s true, just that it could be).

    • Agreed. In the case of the mother with cancer, I see it as a failure by the doctor to advise. The abortion seemed to have been performed for fear of deformity of the fetus. But if the parents were to know about how well the child is actually doing, they may actually have wanted to keep it. Shouldn’t they at least scan for such things before abortion is performed?

I’m pro choice, but I also do believe that late term abortions should only be in the case of life threatening problems to the mother, deformity in the child, or other difficult cases. Abortion for “regular” unwanted pregnancies should be (I thought is usually) done in the first trimester.

  67. This story is skimpy on facts. Most states DO NOT ALLOW late term abortions. Onky done in circumstancesumsyancrs where mother’s life is in danger.
Stop attacking women’s choice for termination with sensational tragic events.

  68. Isn’t this against the Hippocratic Oath that Doctors take? To leave a baby, pre-term or one that has survived an abortion
to die is just unimaginable to me. I feel so sorry for those poor nurses who told their stories above and even for the
doctor. If I was a doctor, I would refuse to let anyone die without being given a fair chance and medical attention.
If they live, the mother or parent(s) should relinquish their parental rights and the baby should be given up for
    adoption. Period.

  69. For these innocent babies and those who fight for them, even one “sensational tragic event” is ONE TOO MANY. 😱 (Not shouting, just emphasizing). The real shame is that this is caused by the deliberate choice of someone. Most of these innocent, precious babies would be completely viable if left in the womb.😧

  70. I think abortion is wrong, however there are certain cirmcomstances where I think it is necessary such as in case of a rape. However, if the fetus is still alive, every effort should be made to save that child’s life, if the parent doesn’t want it ( as they obviously don’t because they chose to abort) there are many couples that would love to take that child into their homes and hearts. It is wrong to let the baby just die when it could possibly be saved, it is still a human being and deserves the chance to live.

  71. Really abortion is killing. People fear God. The aborted fetus have the right to live. We medical profession will be judged by supporting the killing of unborn babies. You never know who will this aborted babies will be. If you do not want to have babies why do you become pregnant?

  72. I read that one lady had an abortion because she was told that her cancer treatment would cause the baby to be deformed but it wasn’t when it was delivered and still alive – there should have been an attempt to keep this baby alive and returned to the mother – this abortion was done on medical grounds not out of choice.

  73. Here is a great book to read: “The Castaways” by Sarah Hinze. Sarah wrote this book about children who had been aborted but were reassigned and born to different parents. It is encouraging and educational

  74. A very emotive subject. I personally think it has to be up to the individual on wether they abort or not. As we see, many women do so for the most tragic of reasons. However, whenever practicable, surely we should help and encourage Mothers to go full term, then have the baby adopted? Give them financial and emotional support.
But before anybody judges, close your eyes, and imagine locked hospital wards, where Mothers who went full term had grossly handicapped children. We are not talking about the kind of handicap you see in the streets, but poor souls who are almost beyond description. Thalidomide is tame compared to this. We have true ‘cyclops’ children with tiny bodies, heads as large as their bodies, with one eye. We have extreme spina bifida cases–where the spine pocking through the skin, trails to the floor, and is covered in hairs. Tiny babies, who were never completely formed, kept in wards and experimented on—I could go on. All of these poor people are abandoned by their families, and left to be ‘worked’ on. They may say all the operations these people get are medically necessary, but these forgotten people very seldom live beyond their teens, and simply to survive until then, numerous ops are carried out.
I would urge everyone to work in a ward like that, before coming to a final judgement.

    • Close your eyes and think of a child that has survived such a tragic decision and grew up healthy and became the one person and only one that discovered a cure for all cancer…. You can’t just think the worse bad things happen just like that to full term births.

    • i think all the stories or rather most of stories are experiences of perfectly healthy babies, Jessie Bauchope Young. yes i agree there are extreme cases but how about the perfect babies like those ones above that were wickedly igonred and left to die… Hospitals are no more a place to save lives, rather terminate them… It a worild we live in…

  75. Surely when they know that the mother has only had an abortion because she’d been told the baby was going to be severely harmed by her chemo treatment, when that baby then had the chance to live and appeared to be unharmed by the mothers treatment, the baby should have been given all the help available. The mother should have been informed. How can the so called medical profession play god like that. That mother may never have even considered abortion had she not been advised to and that baby could have been very wanted and loved.

  76. I feel no baby should be aborted if u don’t want them give for adoption. A man and woman is involved in bringing a child to the world. But the man and woman did not create the baby. The baby is created by God. So everyone who is involved in abortion especially when it is not a medical compulsion will have to answer God.

  77. […] Nurses Share Heartbreaking Stories of What Happens To Babies Who Survive Abortions Often when a baby is born alive during an abortion procedure, the child is kept in the abortion clinic until he or she dies. Melanie Green of Last Days Ministries quoted Malloy in her pamphlet “Children: Things We Throw Away?” Malloy tells her story: I worked the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift, and when we weren’t busy, I’d go out to help with the newborns. […]

  78. there’s no telling what goes on that we don’t know about. if a baby needs a kidney or a body part parents pays for that and these little live babies are cut apart and used for spare parts – think about it – folks. hospitals get rich off them i guarantee it. so abortion clinic sends the live ones over to the baby junk yard where they are chopped up and no telling what else. Lord be with these killers on judgement day.

  79. OMG!!! This is so sad! How in God’s name can doctors and nurses perform abortions? Or how can they sleep at night knowing they murdered helpless babies or did not help one that lived??? So many people I know that would give anything to be parents and can not have a child and yet thousands a day are being murdered! This makes me sick!!!! No doubt they will stand before God one day and have to answer to this. These people are always screaming “It’s my body and my choice”. Well yes it is your choice, to NOT have unprotected sex, not to kill! OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!!!

    • You have no idea what condition these women were in who had these abortions. You have no idea what they were going through. Not everyone that chooses to have an abortion was some reckless, irresponsible person. Many people use multiple forms of birth control, but it still fails. It would be more irresponsible to bring a child into the world that you could not financially and emotionally support than it is to terminate it. It would not be fair to the child for it to grow up in poverty with parents who never really wanted the child. To this I’m sure you’ll say that they could give the baby up for adoption. There are nearly 500,000 children in foster care, over half of which are abused. By putting your child up for adoption it is not guaranteed to be chosen for adoption and if it is, it is not guaranteed to be put into a loving home. Tell me what good it does to bring a human into this world and put it through suffering, abuse, neglect, and let it grow up its whole life wondering why their mother did not want them? Or, you could choose the logical solution and terminate the pregnancy while the baby is still just an embryo. The majority of women who choose abortions are not late into their pregnancy as some of the cases described above. A large portion of abortions are performed by simply giving the mother a pill which causes a miscarriage. The ones described above and gruesome and extreme cases and also, as stated, they aren’t typically performed that way anymore. By keeping abortion legal you are allowing it to be made safe and for humane regulations to be put in place so they occur in a sterile environment under medical professionals. If abortion were to be made illegal you are now putting the mother and baby at risk. Babies AND women will die if it is made illegal. It is the 21st century. Women are allowed to have a choice. These procedures are not just meant for women who had reckless sex. They are meant for women who have been raped, for women in manipulative relationships, for women in poverty, for all types of women. If you want to sit on your pedestal and preach about how these women will be judged and condemned need I remind you about how the Bible very specifically states “judge not lest you be judged.” Just some food for thought coming from a Christian who believes in pro-choice. It is not your place to act as if you are better than any of these women. You are just as bad for being hateful and judgmental. As Christians we are supposed to be loving and accepting no matter someone’s culture, religion, sexuality, or beliefs. Instead of shaming people why don’t you open your mind just half an inch and provide comfort for those women who are going through difficult times. It isn’t an easy choice to have an abortion. You act as though these women have sex and just say “Eh, looks like I’m pregnant. Time to have an abortion.” These women have made the most difficult decision of their life. It’s not something you just decide overnight. So next time before you go and judge someone else’s actions you might want to think about what they could be going through. You have no clue what any of those women lived through before coming to this decision. It is NOT your place to judge anyone.

      • I’m not here to judge you. You do have some valid points on someone that is pro abortion. Your absolutely right when no one knows the circumstances that these woman that are choosing abortion. To take the complete pessimistic approach and assuming that an adoptive child will be abused or have struggles in life. At least they’d have that God given agency to choose for themselves then their life being extinguished based on what ifs. You call yourself a Christian but you condone murder? I will not judge you, nor should I. Our creator will! Your words on anti life are disgusting! Thanks for your insights and may God help you understand and correct your flawed understanding. May God help me to not get annoyed by stupid comments that are authored by the devil himself!

  80. Sad memories.
I got pregnnt around 1976. I was bleeding right from the beginning. When the baby was 5 months the miscarriage started. I checked in to the hospital. i was given a room. I asked a nurse to put a plastic sheet under me because i was excessively bleeding clots of blood. The nurse did not speak good english. She looked as the baby was coming. She dropped the cover nd went running down the hall yelling “Its breach. Its breach”. Another nurse came as the baby came. We looked at my baby boy. His arms and legs werewighling and his mouth was opening and closing like he is crying but no sound. The nurse wrapped him in a towel and set jim non the table and left me. I was young and in shock. I watched my baby wiggle himself to death. they told me at that age his lungs were not developed enough for him to breath and live. He was 1 1/2 – 2 pounds.
I find it hard to believe a tiny fetus that fits in your palm would live long enough to be sent anywhere until it died. Yes, perhaps someone helped it to a speedier death. But by this time the death is inevitable. I think this article has been written in a way to sensationalize and to bring forth only one view of the situation. Presentation here is askew. But who am i to say.

  81. The politically correct crowd cares more about animals than they do about pre-born children.. America is going to answer for our sins one day

  82. I often wonder what do they do with babies who are two to three months after abortion? I do hope and Pray that all clinics are shut down! “A woman Rights is to choose to not have sex ! then to kill a baby 👶 “Protect life.

  83. I could not help but be struck by the first example cited above. To leave a viable child to die simply because the baby was unwanted is a chilling reminder of ancient times when children would be left on hillsides and exposed to the tender mercies of Mother Nature. But this, after all, is the legacy of Margaret Sanger and the organization she established, Planned Parenthood. We like to think of ourselves as an “enlightened” people now that the eugenics movement of which she was such an integral part was supposedly discredied so long ago. Alas, such is not the case, as we have seen by the fact that PP performs over 320,000 surgical abortions every year, with nearly 40% of such procedures being done on black women. We must come to grips with the fact that abortion is inextricably linked to eugenics, and that we face the virtual extinction of the black demographic in less than 80 years unless something is done soon to reverse this alarming trend. We must reject the twin cultures of death and acceptance represented by the radical Left in this country before it truly is too late to turn back. The question is, do we have the courage and the will to do so?

  84. Too sad, am short of words. How can our doctors and nurses want good health to be their family’s portion when they murder innocent lives in a cruel manner? God have mercy, keep on reminding them that abortion is a crime.

  85. It is murder. God does not like this. The Medical profession use to take the hipicactic oath. What is happening here on earth, the Devil is among us and we the people are letting him over run us.

  86. This is do sad if you don’t want the baby then use protection or give it up for adoption give the baby a chance at life .

    • This is do sad if you don’t want the baby then use protection or give it up for adoption give the baby a chance at life .So sad

  87. Comment: Am bless with this write up. Please friends join me as we fight against abortion. Am a nigerian. Contact me if you wish to join me. +23408107754245, or facebook Iborogeorge. And i would love to partner with many NGO on these war against abortion.

  88. I’m left disgusted and ill after reading the first few paragraphs. How can any human being think it’s ok to kill a baby? How can this be perfectly legal to do? If the entire public as a whole had to watch this live, what would happen? A severely burned baby crying alone in pain left to die. Or put in a bucket to suffocate. How could you live with yourself? I’m so far from perfect but know the difference between right and wrong.

    • So glad you wrote in! It’s terrible!! Think of all the people who are dying to have a baby!! How could they ever live with their self knowing they watched and let it happen??

  89. They need to include why the mothers chose to have abortion. Would you still think the same if it was the baby of a rape victim? The woman with chemo had a valid reason to abort. They already are suffering with the bills and health issues from her cancer. The last thing they could afford or be able to deal with is a child that needs special attention. And who knows maybe she does die in the end, do you really want the father to have to raise that child alone? As for the person who commented “if you don’t want a child, use protection” it’s more complicated than that. Yes some people are plain dumb and have sex and don’t think of the consequences. But what about those who are actively using protection and by some chance the protection fails? I know the statistics of this happening are low. But just like anything else it could happen and just because a woman forgets to take her pill entirely or just late than usual or if the condom for some reason fails does that mean she should suffer? It is sad and wrong how they handle the babies that are supposed to be dead but are still alive. They should intervene and put the infant to sleep if it is that situation. Or offer some way of comforting the child till they pass “naturally” But we shouldn’t judge those who have an abortion. If they don’t have an abortion then those children either end up in a home that does not want them or end up in foster care. There are already thousands if not more children in foster care. Why should we add to it?

    • Regarding failed contraception, there is one way and one way only to make sure a woman can’t get pregnant. This is what my mother always told me. Don’t have sex, if you don’t want to get pregnant. All other contraceptive methods can fail. So if someone chooses to have sex, they have to know the consequences, and be responsible for the outcomes of their choice. This is what it really means to be pro-choice. Aborting pregnancy just because your contraception failed is murder, as you’re taking the baby’s right to life away and the baby has no choice in the matter. Every life is a gift, and a life in a womb is equal to life already born. How would you like the idea of putting adults in a barrel of water and leaving them to die?

    • Also, regarding your statement “If they don’t have an abortion then those children either end up in a home that does not want them or end up in foster care. There are already thousands if not more children in foster care. Why should we add to it?” You don’t know what the future will bring for the life of the “unwanted child”. He may end up being “wanted child”. There are many couples that would love to have a baby, but can’t. Especially today, when the rate of miscarriages and infertility grows. You cannot predetermine the child’s future. If we start doing this, what’s to stop us from doing this to other children and people in general. Should we kill everyone who we think may end up being alcoholic, drug user, homeless, sick, etc.? How do you know if the “unwanted child” will not be a genius? Maybe he will be helping other people in the future? You can’t know this. What if it was your mother who decided to abort you?

  90. I read often about people finding little dogs or cats, dumped out somewhere or put in plastic bags to dying. And the people do all they can to save them. Why aren’t the people who abort this babies allowed to care and try to keep them alive? What’s wrong with that picture? It’s so heartbreakin for me just reading about all this. I can imagine how horrible it must be for those nurses. Especially, being actually able to see and watch those babies die. It’s so sad and wrong.

    • It is awful, that’s the point, to make people aware. Too many people don’t realize just what abortion entails, it is murder no matter how you look at it. How anyone can read this article without crying is beyond me. It’s absolutely disgusting that this happens.

  91. I’m shocked (not sure why given the Society we live in) that ANYONE could read these stories and still defend abortion. Guess u could hold those children and still be ok with letting them die because they are a burden after all. In case of rape it’s still murder. Two wrongs don’t make a right. That child didn’t chose to be concieved and that is what the morning after pill is for. In the case of the cancer patient I bet that mom would have fought for that perfect baby to be saved. She thought it would have major problems. I think parents should be notified if a child survives and have to make the choice from there. Why aren’t they required to tell the mom?? Make them look at that child and say let it die. Let them live with that choice. Oh I know why, could it be because the pro-choice clan would loose 75%of their following, and the RX people making the abortion drugs would loose billions. Not to mention how much slaughter houses like planned parenthood would loose. Oh no we couldn’t have the truth put out there in black and white. God have mercy on us, the blood of the innocent is on our hands.

  92. This is appalling, with all the advances in medical science to preserve life. We allow the most innocent, defenseless, and vulnerable to die. May God have mercy on our country for the unethical choices made by mothers n by the medical community. May He take these precious infants intonHis loving arms n care for them. I for one will continue to pray that this slaughter may end.

  93. Strongly feel that if a child/baby is viable to stand any chance to maybe make it to survive, even if the circumstances or parents do not work for it, we should make an effort to try and save him/her, also!
Parents who were misled to believe their child is not viable under difficult circumstances, because of as in your example cancer, ought to have a right to know, if their children/babies are alive and well. I agree the Mum would have probably fought for her baby boy!
Is a late abortion as ethical as we would like to make believe it is – and why are methods being used that are questionable? Is it acceptable, if live babies are stifled to death – do they feel pain, if they are damaged by saline solution inside the womb and from which point onwards do they really feel pain and have sensations?
Difficult and I think/feel it is time we asked and answered some more questions!

  94. Of course these babies feel pain. They have working nervous systems; they feel when the saline is burning them alive and scorching their tiny throats and lungs.

  95. Its so heart breaking to hear what small babies go through this abortions while their are many couples who are childless. to the doctors who are doing this please have a soul and may God forgive you be human and let the babies live.

  96. Comment:If only our parents did the same to us we couldn’t be who we are today. Every Child (fetus) has the right to live.
Instead of living with this label as à murderer (psychological torture) its actually better to take up the pregnancy preventative measures.
Many out there are frastruated because they cant have children.
Remember that this could be your only chance of been à mother or father or this could be your favourite Child.
Every fetus (baby) must live for all of his life and i say NO to absorption.

  97. Comment:Very painfull, why can’t they prevent getting pregnant than exposing these innocent creatures to such pain & death. To the doctors & the nurses u should be human, life is such a precious thing that God gave us.It’s end time & such r the signs, may God help us value each breath given to us & others.

  98. I see how heartbreaking it is and could not go through with it myself. I refuse to judge others. Many health professionals are pushing people to have abortions because of disability and reading this even they can be wrong. The more I read up the more I’m against. I don’t think it should be a compleat ban but then 22 weeks is too late and it should be lowered significantly.

    • We have to stop this from happening. What kind of society allows the murder of the most helpless innocent. We are losing our humanity and the affects are seen around the world.

  99. How can anyone do that to a new baby boys and girl if thay don’t want kids at all then use protection at all time then they won’t get pregnant.. I lost two baby’s and it was the hardest thing ever it broke my heart into . It makes me sick when people have babies and then dump them they did’t ask for this to come into this would god love then baby 💔😢💔😢💔😢💔😢💔😢

    • Eric:That was a great letter. Unonltufatery it went to a list of people which includes some who have trouble with basic science and math. I would say some of them have trouble with arithmetic operations — without a calculator and foreign territory guide.Keep up the good work.

  100. And we are supposed to be a civilised society! …. This is like medicine from the dark ages! ….If folk continue to insist on performing late abortions, the baby should then become a person in its own right, and be cared for until adoption by a couple desperate for a child….heaven knows there’s enough of them!

  101. This made me feel sick inside…there’s couples that are going through a daily struggle to have a baby…They could make a good home for any of them babies.tgeres always the choice of adoption and contraception is provided everywhere to prevent it to start with…than killing babies.

  102. I don’t agree with abortion myself but only in certain circumstances, such as rape, incest and if there’s something very very serious wrong with the fetus that even the hospital recommend it, oh and if a pregnancy can cause the mother of the fetus to die, other than that I do NOT AGREE with Abortion xxxx

  103. If baby was born live , I think mothers she know , maybe they give up for some ele to look after, are they tell mother news , if I was going though that , I want now that baby die or live , my heart go out to nurse, and doctor, you have power change thing ,

  104. if you sign up at the yoga today website, you get a free full length yoga class once a week that is available on their website. I love Yoaotadgy. All the wonderful yoginis have helped me deepen my practice.

  105. I know someone personally who had an abortion,my old mans daughter had one done, she lied to her daddy to get the money to go up to Indianapolis,Indiana to have it done,Trish told her dad that the Dr”s told her that she would die while giving birth,I was so dam mad,an I asked him what the hell is C-sections are for not even 3wks later she was pregnant again,an now today she has 3 kids I gave him an her both a nick name babies killers, while she goes on with life as if nothing never happened married an still today always asking for money from her dad ,while her husband in the military,as a computer geek makes good money sure as hell don’t teach there kids to respect other ppl, they now moved over to Korea,I hope they stay there,I don’t have any once of respect for her

  106. Our beautiful granddaughter, now a healthy 13 year old, with many t alents, looked just like the picture at the beginning of this article. The one of the fetus in the hand. She made it, and is such a blessing to us. She was born premature at 22 weeks, due to an infection in the uterus./

  107. I dont believe in abortion at all even if it was through the case of rape ect.. God has amazing plans for babies conceived like that. God values every life thats in the womb and he doesnt see them as waste. Look up james Robinson he has an amazing testimonie of how he was conceived and what god is doing in his life.

  108. Abortion is murder. But the fact of the matter is the law states its the mothers right to choose. Okay fine. But once the baby is born alive. Then killing it is murder just the same way killing a pregnant woman is double homicide.

  110. This is the saddest thing I ever read. It makes me sick. Without a doubt, it is MURDER! This past year I realized that before or when we die, we will deal with ALL our wrongs in life; stealing, bullying, refusing to give to those in need, adultery, lying, hurting people, killing animals, killing babies, killing anyone, anything that is a sin,…it is going to be hell for those who have committed horrendous sins who have not come to God through the blood of his son Jesus. It will be a sad day for doctors, nurses, perpetrators who think abortions are alright. The only peace is knowing that everyone of these little babies are in heaven with God and Jesus and know a love like no other. They will never feel the pain you witness because God is good, it is for your sake, for you to remember always! The ones who tried to help are called angels,…it is never to late for them to ask God’s forgiveness.

  111. Doctors and nurses take an oath before they begin practicing medicine. What I will never understand is why the AMA and the National Nursing Association doesn’t revoke their licenses for murdering these innocent babies. What amazes me more is the number of people that believe this is OK. It opens ones eyes to the abundant numbers of Godless people there are in this world. So sad.

  112. This is horrific, but should any of us be surprised? This is a throw away society. We should treasure our precious children, instead we throw them away like trash. I do not believe in late term abortions. There are so many people that would love to adopt a baby. WHY? Because abortions are a business and they make money by legal
murder. SICKENING! I think the mothers of these children should have to be put through the same pain they put their children through…oh wait, that would be unethical? And this is why our society is so screwed up. We care more about what the news/media tells us. We don’t research for ourselves, because we have become too lazy. In the end, we will all be held accountable!

  113. Would you pro lifers prefer people to give birth to comply with the wishes of family than have an abortion? Even if the married, pregnant person despises kids, & giving it up for adoption is out of the question because ‘grandma’ wants a grand baby? Well, if that’s your wish, you’re perpetuating child abuse!!!!! I’m VERY pro-choice!!!! I think you’re all just a bunch of baby loving snow flakes? Better to abort it than torture it to death after its born!

  114. Revelations 12 : verse 4. And his tail ( Satan) drew the 3rd part of the stars of heaven , and did cast them to the earth; and the DRAGON STOOD BEFORE THE WOMAN WHICH WAS READY TO BE DELIVERED , FOR TO DEVOUR HER CHILD AS SOON AS IT WAS BORN … SATAN WAS THE DRAGON , 3RD PARTY WAS SATAN’S DEMON SPIRITS …CHAPTER 9 , 10 , 19 ALSO TALKS @ SATAN WHO CAME TO STEAL , KILL , AND DESTROY ALL HUMANS…

  115. I cried when I read this. There are couples unable to have children and would love to adopt these little ones. These people have go over seas to adopt because they can’t adopt here. Even the grand parents or some relative would probably to take the child. Everything possible should be done to persuade the mother to keep the child, and to help them cope. Often the mothers think about the child they aborted and wish they had not done it.

  116. The aborted baby is tortured to death AFTER it is BORN ALIVE and even in the womb. Even if you are pro- choice as Cathy Rowe says that she is, ultimately it is to the LIVING GOD – THE GIVER OF LIFE to whom we all have to answer for the choices we make with the free wills He has given us, in denying LIFE to these precious little children.

  117. I’m stunned by this information! I now understand why the scriptures states: “Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty”. Psalms 74:20.

Our hospitals many other institutions are habitations of cuelty.
